All My Shit Is Breaking
I get a little less than one hour of battery life out of my laptop. This is ordinarily not much of a problem but the glory of WiFi loses its luster if you still have to be near a power outlet.
The check engine light just came on in my car. It’s not flashing. It’s not the gas cap. It did this before, about 20,000 miles ago, and then went away after a couple weeks. I’m overdue for 60,000-mile service and have skipped any non-oil-change maintenance due to lack of funds since I got the 30,000-mile service.
The inside screen on my cell phone is randomly blank. This just started this week. It lights up blue, but no text or anything. I was paranoid that it was a symptom of another problem and that none of my phone calls or voicemails were coming through. But a test call from my sister dispelled that notion. The outside screen is futzing up, too. It’ll blink and distort. When I see that on the outside, I know I’ve got a blank screen on the inside. Sadly, it’ll probably be cheaper and more convenient to buy a new phone instead of trying to get this one fixed.
