I’m So Annoyed…

… that they just interrupted The View to tell us that Airforce One has landed at the airport. I didn’t even know the Prez was coming to MI, but they could at least wait until he gets somewhere and has something to say (?) before they start interrupting my regularly scheduled programming.

UPDATE: Breaking news again! President Bush has walked off the plane.

UPDATE: OMG, now he’s talking. This is actually worse. He’s going through his “bring ‘em to justice” rhetoric. “No matter how long it takes.” And “Let’s get this economy growing so we can get some jobs.” “The world is becoming more free and thus more peaceful.” Right. Uh huh.

“We want jobs for everyone.” “Electric power and energy is needed for the economy to grow.” (He’s at a ~~nucular~~ nuclear power plant.) “We need to modernize the electricity grid.” “We’re gonna find out what went wrong [with the blackout]. We’ll find out the facts and then we’ll deal with it.” I felt like we needed an energy strategy.” “If energy is an issue, we need a plan.” And of course on to “less dependent on foreign sources of energy.”

And I stopped listening because he’s not actually saying anything.

I think every single brown and female person employed at Fermi II was seated on that stage. And fer chrissake, Monroe is pronounced Mun-ROH not MAHN-row.
