The Great eBay Update
I’ve been outbid on several different attempts at a replacement cell phone. Always at the last minute (may all you bid snipers rot in hell). I did win two pairs of shorts and the FM transmitter, so far. All three arrived on Wednesday. Fucking Christmas!
I don’t have any AAA batteries around so I have yet to test the FM transmitter. (Hush your mouth on the batteries comments.)
The L.L. Bean nylon walking/hiking cargo shorts fit great. Sort of a different texture. All synthetic and breathable. Maybe I’ll actually walk or hike in them to test that out. I knew I couldn’t go wrong with L.L. Bean.
The Eddie Bauer khaki trail shorts fit okay around the waist/hips, but the legs are kinda wide. Like, skort wide. Okay, maybe not that bad. They’re flappier than usual, though. My bending over to look at them makes it worse. They look mostly okay in the mirror. They’re extra soft like the Land’s End khaki shorts I have, which are my favorite khaki shorts (despite the pleated front). I’ll be rubbing my thighs a lot when I wear those shorts.
It was sort of weird opening the packages and noticing that people use different laundry detergent. Good to know they’ve been washed, but I’ll be re-washing them ASAP.
I got this note with one pair (emphasis mine):
Your eBay purchase is enclosed. I hope you will be pleased with your purchase. If you feel that an item has been misrepresented, please contact me before you leave neutral or negative feedback. I work very hard at eBay because my husband has cancer and I use this avenue to earn extra income. I will always work with my customers because I want them pleased and happy with their purchases. Thank you once again for your purchase.
No, I don’t feel at all guilty about the measly $10 I spent on a pair of Eddie Bauer shorts. Sheesh.
The Gap suede jeans and the American Eagle cargo pants I bid on don’t end until Saturday night. I won’t feel badly if I lose the suede jeans, but I really want those cargo pants. I might be willing to pay a little more for those, so I’ll have to camp out Saturday night. Not like I wouldn’t be spending Saturday night camped out in front of the computer anyway, only this time the Olympics will be on tv.

Call me a skeptic, but it sounds like a ploy to keep people from leaving negative feedback. What is it with me and not believing people lately? (And I think you know what I’m referring to.)
